today is monday it is a great day but there is jsut one thing about this day that is very special. around 9 oclock on modays i get to go to old mans. old mans is such a very nice time. but monday really isnt my favorite day it is actually my least favorite day. the only good part of the day is at night which is old mans hockey. it is fun to play against old men because they are a bunch of hacks and we get to chirp them all nigiht long. actually my favorite day is probably friday because that is the day we get off school. i always like to take friday lightly because after school on monday is the best part of the week.

octomber 7th blog

Well today is going very good for me. one good thing that happen was that the vikings beat the saints last night. another great thing is that school started at noon today. being at school really isnt that bad i have been haveing a great day so far. we havent done much . in gym we played lightening the hole time so that was good.

I think the theme of this poem is about a guy that is on a boat in the sean and he wants to be home really bad after a long time at sea. What hes saying about love is that he loves to be at home and on land after a long time at sea. The metaphor type that this auther is useing is one that the author never says that we really does want to be home but oyu can kind of tell from the way he talks about the land.

Biscuits Of Love

Memories of my youth.
Flood over my soul.
When I think of Grandma.
They make me feel whole.
Gathering at her house.
With all the family there.
We made lots of memories.
For all of us to share.
Lessons that she taught me.
Guide me thru the day.
If I listened closely.
I cannot go astray.
Love and commitment.
She drilled into me.
Making the person that I am.
Just who I want to be.
Grandma has many names.
Each one has their chosen.
But the names I want her calledStarts with love,
For she is warm and not frozen.

I picked this poem because i read the the title and the first couple of lines and found it to be very interesting. it also talks about the love for her grandma, and i have alot of love for my grandma. I think that the title is good because it doesnt tell about the whole poem it just shows that there is love in the story. i also think that it talks about the biscuits beucase she might remember her grandmas house that way. Maybe her grandma made bicuits alot. Flood over my soul is a metaphor. for she is warm and not frozen is something that you have to figure out and see what she is saying. when she says this i think that she is talking about how her grandma is ery loveing and that all she is. The feeling that the poem give me is the feeling of love. The tone of this piece is memoy. i think this becuase the whole poem is about how she loves her grandma and loves to think about the great memorys that she had with her.

Choice

Today i am going to tell you about my trip to Arizona. i have been to Arizona twice in my life but i am going to tell you about my most recent time visiting there. During this past summer i went to Arizona for a family reunion. I had the time of my life when i was there. We traveled all around AZ we went from the south to the way top. We visited lake Powell witch is a very cool lake because all around the lake there is big cliffs and rocks. Its a lot different then Minnesota because around all the lakes in Minnesota there are big trees. At the end of the trip we ended up at my uncles house. He lives on a ranch and it is very cool. The best part about being in Arizona was being with all my cousins that i don't get to see very often.
